Request Funding
Event Sponsorships
This avenue if for date-specific fundraisers that support causes within NFF's mission. It is requested that sponsorship applications be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event. Most sponsorships range from $500 to $2,500, but this can increase depending on the type of event and the sponsorship levels available.
Short-term Project Grants
This avenue is for the support of well-defined projects lasting less than 6 months, which seek to achieve a specific and measurable goal within a community. For example, a mission trip to build a source of clean water, the improvement of a sports field that is keeping local youth off the streets, or a vocational program seeking to train former inmates for re-entry into the workforce. Please submit these grant requests at least 60 days prior to the date the funds are needed. This is our preferred form of community engagement. These grants typically range from $1,000 to $5,000 per project.
General Funding Grants
All grant requests that do not meet the criteria for Event Sponsorship or Short-term Project, or exceed $5,000, are required to be submitted through the General Funding Grant application. Due to the exponential increase in grant requests received by NFF in recent years, we have modified how we handle general grant applications. We now have a grant submission window that is open from January 1st through September 30th of each calendar year.  All requests received during that window will be considered by our Board of Directors at the end of year.  All applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision in the first part of the following calendar year and all approved recipients should receive their funding by March 31st.
